A new development in my Topography series. Knit cotton and wool-stainless steel on rice paper and machine sewn to felt. I'm working with ideas of quilts and layering.
I love quilting --(and quilting and knitting..
have you learned about truponto? when you uses pre-died batting (wool) and semi or fully shear fabric..you can created depth, and color and..
it works well with both hand and machine stitching.
does your sewing machine make a chain stitch as well as a locking stitch (you can buy a bobbin like attachment for chain stitch --
chain is a great way (in addition to blanket/button hole stitch to start knitting on fabric.
