This is something I'm playing with. After the series I made in November, the sea is something I've had on my mind.

The right amount of wax is always a bit of a dance. The blog name should really be wax and balloons, I guess it's not as alliterative though.

Love is in the air. I'm re-posting the owl valentine PDF from my old Knitsonya blog. I also just finished a Valentine's themed Ordinary Object, check it out over at the project blog. And speaking of Ordinary Objects, I have a collection of them on display at A Verb for Keeping Warm. The opening reception is tonight, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and the show will be up until March, 7th.

I tried knitting with this paper yarn, but in a three bears like way, the thin yarn was too fine (it's strong stuff, I just don't feel like knitting large expanses on size 0000 needles) and the thick yarn proved too thick. Seriously. I knit this with double points and a crochet hook. It's pretty, but will remain one of a kind.
